Our process

There’s no development without design, no design without content strategy, no content strategy without a clear understanding of who you are and what your ideas are. And the way we understand that is by using our experience in semiotics, the powerful science of meaning and communication.

Content first

Whether we’re dealing with a brand-new site or with a redesign, a purely informative site or an e-commerce platform, content is the glue that holds the project together. Content strategy follows the evolution of your website throughout the different design stages and into its maturity.

Making things work

Design is not just about making things look pretty. It’s mostly about making things work. Which is why we see design and development as two integrated processes, one flowing into the other, one making sense of the other, both contributing to turn websites into real, functioning objects.

After launch

We follow you every step of the way, including after your site has launched. We believe the web requires attention and nourishment, just like a garden (or a human being). As your communication needs evolve, so do those of your website, and we’re here to take care of them.

Editorial services

Not everyone may have the time or the skills to deal with increasing amounts of content. Communikitchen offers a range of editorial solutions to complement your content strategy, from copywriting to copyediting to translation. We’ll also help you produce and organize content in media other than text.

Hosting solutions

If you have your own web server, we’ll install the final product of our efforts on your machine and instruct your system administrator on the ideal maintenance process and schedule. If you don’t have your own technology, we’ll host your website on our servers, where it will always be taken care of.
